I’ve been in the fitness industry 8 years as a Level 3 certified Personal Trainer and a Sports Massage therapist. It’s an industry I love being a part of. Knowing that I can make an impact in peoples lives no matter how big or small is the most satisfying feeling possible. Over this time I've made a conscious effort to understand all my clients the best I could, which has helped me round out myself and my skills to not only be seen as the ‘go to’ fitness trainer, but as a coach that discusses and helps in many aspects of a clients Journey. My entire span as a trainer had been spent working out of a commercial gym training clients, and whist my experience was great, I ultimately wanted more for myself and my clients. I wanted a space that was truly personal, a space that offered a unique experience for everyone who walked through the door. I wanted the ability to offer my services and ultimately help people on a larger scale. This is why I started Gym Shed.

Personal Trainer

Since the age of 21 I’ve had a passion for fitness and over the last 20 years I have constantly been searching out new techniques and approaches to training. Including 7 years doing CrossFit. But until recently fitness was just a hobby. When covid hit, like many people I evaluated what I wanted to do in life. So I made the decision to make my passion my career, I studied to become a level 3 certified trainer and I haven’t looked back!

I love helping people achieve their goals and watching them become energised after a workout, knowing that they have accomplished something great. Fitness is a lifestyle choice, it’s not always easy and some days you may not feel like doing it. But that is what I’m here for, to motivate you and to be accountable to.

To me fitness is about how you feel about yourself on the inside, about what you can accomplish. The body was meant to move, push the boundaries and be used to its full potential.

GYM SHED

Wanting a unique space to train my clients had been on my mind for years. The jump from working a gym floor to having your own space isn’t an easy one but I knew it was a step I really wanted to take, and with more and more experience came the feeling that I was ready to take it. The Yard was perfect for this.


I had the opportunity to rent this slither of land, formerly the Old Timber Yard, specifically where the timber used to get stored along the main road. To many people it looked like a bit of a waste of land, too narrow to do anything with. I knew that I could make it work with the right layout and clever use of shipping containers. So that’s what I did. I used 2 containers next to each by cutting out the side wall and joining them together, giving me plenty of ‘indoor’ space to do 1-1 and group train clients. The outdoor space was landscaped and laid with artificial grass so to be used for larger group training, training classes and bootcamps, along with 3 workout stations available for use by clients and their family/friends. I knew that with my busy diary and plans to expand coaching into groups I needed to take on help, so another cabin went on site ready for another personal trainer to come onto the Gym Shed team. Final touches like decking and canopies were installed to fully maximise the space, offering shelter from bad weather whilst improving the overall aesthetic and functionality of the yard.


Gym Shed at the Yard has been carefully put together to realise my idea of having a unique space for my clients to succeed, thrive and enjoy their time training.
